Board of Directors Meeting
October 1, 2001
The monthly meeting of the Avocet Board of Directors was called to
order at 7:20 PM on Monday, October 1, 2001, at the Avocet clubhouse with
Paul Cernich presiding. Also in attendance were Nick Carter and Cris
Townsend.
Approval of Minutes
There were no September minutes to be approved.
Comments From the Floor
No one was present to make comments.
Activities Completed Since Last Meeting
- The Annual Meeting was held on September 25, 2001, at the Avocet
clubhouse
- A new Board was elected:
Paul Cernich - President
Nick Carter - Vice President
Cris Townsend - Secretary/Treasurer
Unfinished Business
- Covenants/Bylaws: new cover letter drafted and given to Today
Management; mailing should go out week of 10/8/01
- Contractor needs to complete drainage repairs around clubhouse to
Board's satisfaction; contractor has not been paid yet and will not be
paid until all work is completed.
- Need to come up with 5-year projection for long-term capital
expenditures
- Discussed clubhouse interior improvements: kitchen floor and
lighting
- Discussed tennis court locks and fencing
New Business
- The September inspection report was discussed
- The Board unanimously approved the homeowner's appeal for a fence
at 4755 Avocet Drive
- The next meeting of the Avocet Board of Directors was scheduled for
Monday, November 5, 2001 starting at 7 PM in the Avocet clubhouse.
- The motion to adjourn this meeting was made by Cris Townsend,
seconded by Paul Cernich. The meeting ended at 9 PM.
