Minutes
February 18, 2002
The monthly meeting of the Avocet Board of Directors was called to order at 7:30 PM on Monday, February 18, 2002, at the Avocet clubhouse with Paul Cernich presiding. Also in attendance was Cris Townsend.
Approval of Minutes
The January minutes were approved.
Comments from the Floor
No one was present to make comments.
Activities Completed Since Last Meeting
- The new fence on the tennis courts is done, but the locks have not been installed yet.
- The voting period for the proposed new covenants and bylaws ended, with not enough returned votes to either accept or reject the new documents.
Unfinished Business
- Long-term capital requirements
- Clubhouse improvements – lighting and kitchen floor
- Locks on tennis courts
New Business
Since two Board members are moving, a request to Bruce Hayworth to set up a special homeowners meeting for the election of two new officers will be made; the target date for the meeting is March 12; a mailing will be sent to all homeowners
The January inspection report was reviewed and violation letters will be sent out.
The question of revising the ACC guidelines regarding fences was discussed and the decision was made to keep the guidelines as is.
The need to publish the results of the covenants vote was also discussed
The next meeting of the Avocet Board of Directors was scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2002 starting at 7 PM in the Avocet clubhouse.
The motion to adjourn this meeting was made by Cris Townsend, seconded by Paul Cernich. The meeting ended at 8:00 PM.
