OLD BUSINESS
Townhome Development:
The sale was concluded.
SOP/PIB Development:
CIC for drive through tabled until January after meeting with Mitch Peevy,
developers, BOD, Wayne Knox with UPCCA and a member of the Apremont ACC. There
are some temporary issues with construction but the privacy fence and buffer
will be replaced. For those who live along that area, don't hesitate to call
police if there is any unusual activity. Police reports will help us with zoning
issues.
Clubhouse Maintenance Needs:
Broken garbage disposal - Heritage to fix
Fire Suppression Unit - check with county and fire marshal to see if one
is required. If so, replace.
Repair alarm - discussed
Pest control - Heritage to address
Broken water line - research cost
Reinstall French doors - Ligon to address
Motion detector lights - BOD voted to install around the clubhouse
Cleaning - bathrooms every Friday now that pool is closed, clubhouse as
needed
Pool Closing Schedule - Recreation committee to handle this in the future
Circuit breaker box replaced by tennis courts - $700
Special thanks to Rob Hiller for painting over the graffiti on the clubhouse
and to an unidentified person who repaired the fence rail.
NEW BUSINESS
Articles ready to go in newsletter. Reviewed and approved.
Entry - Jeanne & Dave met with Justin Kirouac - Development Review Manager
for Gwinnett County. Landscape easements on homeowner properties (Clearfield and
Hiller). All other land county right of way. David Tucker, Gwinnett DOT, has
responded to our request for help and is researching currently. We have asked
for a meeting with him on our property.
Inspections - checklist in progress, will be posted on the web site when
completed.
Heritage issues reviewed with Robin Steinkritz.
UPCCA Meeting - Jeanne will attend.
BOD voted to install Peachtree Corners street topper on our signs to indicate
Peachtree Corners boundaries, which will include Avocet. ($50)
Signage
- We will install "no parking" signs at entrance to parking areas
- New signs will be installed on both pool doors and at the entrance to both
tennis courts indicating courts are for use of Avocet residents and their guests
only, and hours of use (8 am - 10pm). The signage will help if there is a need
for police to deal with trespassers.
