Tennis Challenge Ladder

You and the people you play tennis with are officially being invited to join the Avocet Tennis Club Challenge Ladder. The Ladder is open to all Avocet residents and non-residents who are current with their out of neighborhood dues. For those of you not familiar with challenge ladders, this is a way to hone your match skills outside of the normal match play of the USTA, ALTA, and K-Swiss seasons. But you do NOT need to be on one of the Avocet Teams in order to play on the challenge ladder.

The premise behind a challenge ladder is that you challenge a player and move up or down the ladder based upon the results of the match. For every match played your ranking may change just like the pro rankings.

The leagues are:

1. Women's-Singles
2. Women's-Doubles
3. Men's-Singles
4. Men's-Doubles
5. Mixed-Doubles

For the doubles ladder you do NOT have to play with the same partner for all matches. Of course you can do so if you so choose. You will be ranked as an individual but only for your play as a doubles partner.

For management of our challenge ladder we will be using a web site called www.tennisengine.com.

To sign-up, email the your name, address, phone number, email address, and which of the five leagues above (any and all) you are interested in, to tennisladder@avocet-hoa.org. Once your information is received, you will be added to the web site. You will then receive a confirmation email with your login information, with which you will be able to login to the web site, update your profile, and find players to challenge.
